Feminist Emergency Service: urgent grant to help transgender and queer refugees

About the group

The Upheaval Foundation consists of queer activists who focus on building a queer community in Poland. After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the foundation suspended all other activities for a few months in order to focus on direct aid for transgender and queer persons who came to Poland due to the war.

About the action

Since the beginning of the war, we have been contacted practically every day by people in need of the most basic help – safe apartments, medical visits, money for medicines (especially those related to transition) and other basic and urgent needs

The Feminist Emergency Grant is intended primarily for the purchase of medicines, including those related to transition. In addition, Queer Solidarity plans a drag benefit to support queer persons who cannot leave Ukraine.
