About the group

The group consists of editors of tranzycja.pl knowledge base, a website where reliable information on transgender and transition is collected. It aims to raise medical awareness among persons who transition, to fight to improve health care standards for trans persons and to promote a feminist and liberating perspective on transness.

About the action

The group wants to prepare a map of specialists in the field of transgender in Poland, who are at the same time friendly and kind. Similar existing initiatives can usually be found in closed groups and are based on opinions of the community, which reports personal, often traumatic experiences. The project team wants to minimize negative experiences and not expose persons from the community to discrimination or reliving trauma. Therefore, the basis for the development of the map will be surveys addressed directly to the medical community, examining the knowledge and methods of individual specialists.
