Women’s Space “Integrants”

Hajnowka

MiniGrant: a series of thematic educational and regeneration meetings for Ukrainian refugee women.

About the group

During conversations among women, it turned out that every one of them needed psychological and social support, they all talked about how difficult it is for them to adapt in a new country, how they lack social contacts, how big a problem is the language barrier.

Women’s Space “Integrants” (Ukr. Жіночий простір «Інтегрантки”) is a grassroots volunteer initiative from Hajnowka, created by four refugee activists and social leaders from Ukraine. The group is committed to strengthening Ukrainian women’s communities and improving their psycho-physical condition, counteracting loneliness, and building support networks. They are close to the feminist values of sisterhood, solidarity, self-help, and mutual support.

We conduct workshops, art therapy, and discussion evenings. The main purpose of these meetings is to reduce the level of stress resulting from a forced stay abroad.

About the action

As part of the MiniGrant, Integrants will organize a series of thematic educational and regenerative meetings for Ukrainian women. The plans include, among others: psychotherapy with the participation of a psychologist, art therapy, a feminist film club, and handicraft classes. The group wants to reach as many refugees as possible from Hajnowka and the surrounding area with information about the events. They hope that the meetings will become an opportunity to meet new people, exchange experiences, and build a supportive community of women.
