MiniGrant: dissemination of own model of action for women in a small village. The group will create a mobile version of the Women’s Place of Activity in the Countryside and organize a series of workshops “Strength and independence of women”.

 

About the group

We were all born in the countryside and decided to spend our lives here. We are moms, sisters, and friends. We were united by the desire for social change in the local, rural environment.

Witches from Kolsko is an informal group of women living in a small village in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. They create a Women’s Place of Activity in the Countryside (MAK), where they organize development workshops, concerts, exhibitions, and meetings with specialists, including psychologists and sexologists. They dream that the place of residence will never limit women’s development and that people from the countryside will become a large part of feminist change. They are close to the values of sisterhood, mutual support, and self-determination.

In our group, we make decisions collectively. Each of us has the same right to vote. We listen to our needs and divide the work according to our current possibilities, giving ourselves the right to let go and rest.

 

 

About the action

The primary goal of the Witches of Kolsko is to strengthen the ownership and self-determination of women in the countryside and encourage them to express themselves openly, so that their voices are heard and important in local environments. As part of the MiniGrant, they plan to disseminate their model of action for women in a small village and create a mobile version of the Women’s Place of Activity in the Countryside. The plans include a series of workshops “Strength and independence of women”, with which the Witches will reach small, rural environments, “in the middle of nowhere where the paved road ends”.
