MiniGrant: The Association will organize a trip to a networking and development meeting with the group Witches from Kolsko, as well as dance and music meetings for members of the Association and residents of the village of Dobrzyca. They will also buy books for the “motivational library”.

 

About the group

Our initiatives have changed the way of thinking of many of us. What one of us said during the interview may be significant: “I used to ask my husband if I could leave the house, now I just say that I’m leaving and that’s it. I started believing that I was important too.”

“Dobrzyczanki – Cuda Wianki” is a women’s organization – they care about women and believe that nothing is impossible for them, because together they have great potential and energy to act. They want to support each other and feel good in each other’s company. They know that the power and importance of women in the rural community is undeniable, but for it to be fully realized, joint action is needed. So they work because they want women in the countryside – at any age – to feel part of the community, to be able to leave the house and be aware that their needs are important.

We feel very motivated by the fact that our feminist activities give us a lot of satisfaction, good energy, knowledge about ourselves, and contribute to the huge development of the group. This brought us even closer and taught us to cooperate. Our initiatives show that nothing is impossible for us and together we are like a shock wave – our energy affects the whole community.

 

 

About the action

The activities planned by “Dobrzyczanki” are aimed at the development and strengthening of the Association and its members. These will include: a networking and development meeting with the “Witches from Kolsko” – who are FemFund Grantees as well – during which women will exchange experiences, take part in a “witches'” workshop and integrate around a fire; a “motivational library”, thanks to which Dobrzyca’s residents will have access to literature that builds self-esteem, and “dance and music Fridays”. The meetings will also be open to village residents who do not belong to the Association.
