Feminist Emergency Service: urgent grant for the organization of an artistic camp in the area threatened with felling

About the group

We were united by love of nature and a vision of an equal world, free from hierarchy, dominance of people over other beings, patriarchy, queerphobia, and fascism. Our struggle is intersectional, aimed at actively resisting the oppression of all beings – all persons and all non-human beings.

She-Wolves is a grassroots, non-hierarchical movement for the Carpathian Forest. It occupies the area threatened with felling in a zone adjacent to the Bieszczady National Park. They oppose the exploitation of natural forest ecosystems conducted by the State Forests.

About the action

We wish to creatively address the themes of the climate crisis, climate activism, queer feminism, and biocentrism by persons who will get all the space they need; space previously symbolically occupied by the boomers of the art world.

Thanks to the grant of the Feminist Emergency Service, She-Wolves will organize an artistic plein-air at the forest occupation. It will be attended by persons working in culture and amateur artists. Thanks to this, She-Wolves hope to broadcast the urgent matter of protecting the forest against further felling attempts, as well as to raise money for the further operation of the occupation – the plein-air will end with an auction.
