Feminist Emergency Service: an urgent grant to support an organization to help people who have experienced sexual violence during the war
About the group
We assume that only work focused on trauma and interdisciplinary approach (psychological, medical, and legal support) can realistically and safely change the fate of people who experienced sexual violence during the war.
The Polish Center for Torture Victims is a new initiative that was created in response to the war in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, it has been trying to provide training for therapists, lawyers, and journalists who broaden their knowledge about the trauma associated with sexual violence during armed conflict – in particular, war rape.
About the action
The Group is in the process of creating its legal structure and registration. The grant from the Feminist Emergency Service will be used for facilitation – to support the group in creating the principles of cooperation and division of tasks within a harmonious team.
Grant amount: PLN 3,000
