ROLL-NA Foundation
Chludowo
MiniGrant: ROLL-NA Foundation will organize “Women’s Meetings with Art”: a series of painting, ceramic and photographic workshops and a trip to a cultural event for women.
About the group
We want to build a positive image of rural residents – quiet heroines of local communities – and create for them an empowering platform for cooperation and development, where they can spend time with other women in a warm atmosphere.
The ROLL-NA Foundation consists of rural women who do not agree with the stereotypical perception of women from rural areas. The group has been operating throughout Poland since 2019 but notices the lack of local feminist activities and wants to change this. It strives to build a mutual support network and an empowering and open space for development for women from rural areas. The Group values gender diversity and equality in all areas of life.
Each of us is vulnerable to gender-based discrimination on a daily basis – the traditional gender roles and stereotypes are still strong in the countryside. There is no place for us, no proposal adapted to independent women who have a great need to leave home, create a community, and develop the locality in which they live.
About the action
As part of the MiniGrant, “Women’s Meetings with Art” will take place, i.e., a series of workshops during which women will be able to develop their artistic passions and build a mutual support network.
