Peaceful Occupation Protest of the University of Wroclaw
Wrocław
Feminist Emergency Service: an urgent grant for solidarity activities with Palestine at the University of Wroclaw.
About the group
We are students at the University of Wroclaw who do not agree with the passivity of their university in the face of genocide and scienticide.
They fight for human rights, respect for international treaties, and oppose imperialism and colonialism. They see Israel’s policies as targeting especially women, girls and LGBTQ+ people, which is why the group’s activities are intersectional – they fight for freedom and justice for all marginalized communities.
About the action
However, the occupation requires constant, large expenditures, which can ensure our stay and help create educational and popularizing materials on the history and culture of Palestine.
On June 3, 2024, the group began the occupation at the University of Wroclaw. Their goal is to force the university to publicly condemn the actions of the Israeli government and to break academic cooperation with Israeli institutions that are associated with the military or support the country’s military activities. The form of occupation protest is to be nuisant for the university, and thus effective. They also create an educational space in which they popularize knowledge about the history and culture of Palestine.
