Fullness Foundation
Lublin
MiniGrant: Fullness Foundation will organize creative and handicraft workshops and concerts for approx. 200 women experiencing homelessness.
About the group
Our actions are motivated by a deep conviction about the need for equal treatment, protection of women’s rights, and ensuring equal opportunities and access to social resources. We are aware that the system often ignores the needs of the neediest, making them invisible to the majority of society and condemning them to live on the margin.
Fullness Foundation was founded in 2020 by a group of girls who had been organizing (since 2017!) an annual campaign addressed to women experiencing homelessness – “A little good for Women’s Day”. As part of the initiative, Fullness prepares packages of basic products for everyday hygiene, such as sanitary pads, soap, and shampoo. Initially, the group reached out to women living in the streets, in shelters, using dormitories and heating rooms. Over time, as the action developed, the girls also began to reach out to residents of crisis intervention houses, victims of violence, single mothers and wards of social centers. Today, they have a group of regular volunteers and a system of city coordinators – in 2023, they managed to organize a campaign in 17 cities and distribute as many as 1,587 packages.
Although gifts undoubtedly bring great joy to their recipients and there are places where such support is very important, we have noticed that in most cases it is just spending time together, participating in meetings or workshops that bring them more joy, especially when their basic needs are already met.
About the action
Fullness focuses not only on immediate help, but also on long-term change, thanks to which women in crisis can regain self-esteem and control over their lives. With the consultative support of psychologists and caregivers operating in the centers, the group plans to organize workshops and concerts for approx. 200 shelter residents. It will be an opportunity to spend time together, build relationships and develop new skills.
