Feel Safe
Warsaw
MiniGrant:
Creation of a club on the premises of the school – a safe space for queer, non-neurotypical, and other persons who need it
“Our feminism is queer, open to everyone regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, needs, material status”
About the group
The group consists of genderqueer and non-neurotypical persons. Because they experience discrimination in their daily lives in different fields, they want to build a safe space for the development of their own passions, personality, orientation/gender identity, discovering the potential of personal uniqueness, and caring for the needs and otherness of members. They want to broaden their knowledge about feminism, queerness, neurodiversity, art, and ecology. The Group is primarily guided by openness, willingness to cooperate and initiate change.
“Our goal is to create a safe space for expressing oneself and our diversity and to support the members in developing their passions. We believe this space will turn into a mini-community”
About the action
The group will create a club at school that will be a safe place to develop their own potential and learn from each other. The club will not only be a physical meeting place, but a community of persons supporting each other. In addition, the group plans to meet with activists and educators and to go on guided trips to museums/cultural centers together.
