MiniGrant: The group will organize a respite trip for approx. 20 mothers of children with disabilities, with a workshop on emotions, making eco-cosmetics, and a shared dinner.

 

About the group

What motivated us to establish the foundation was the social exclusion of the entire group of people with disabilities. Children whose world is school, therapy, and rehabilitation. Their mothers, who are perceived as heroines with infinite levels of patience. (…) Our goal is to dispel such an image.

CzaSami Foundation was founded in 2021 by three women with extensive experience in working with children with various disabilities. Their motivation is to fight social exclusion, both for children with disabilities and their mothers. They focus on mothers, because our society still often perceives them as people for whom the good of the child should be the only goal in life. The foundation creates a space where mothers can finally focus on their needs and desires. CzaSami Foundation has already organized two respite weekends and a holiday respite meeting. Together with Nice Stories Foundation, they also took part in two respite weekends, during which they were taking care of the children while their mothers spent time doing yoga, participating in workshops and relaxing in a SPA.

It is impossible to describe the impressions from our first respite weekend with moms. We are full of admiration for their optimism and the strength with which they face the world. Their fight is not only a fight for the health and comfort of their children, but also a war with society for respect and dignity.

 

 

About the action

Thanks to the MiniGrant, the group will organize a respite meeting for mothers of children with disabilities for Mother’s Day. We will go to a friendly place surrounded by meadows, forests and… alpacas. They will go to relax and celebrate, create eco-cosmetics, take part in a yoga session, and participate in a workshop about understanding their own emotions better.
