Feminist Emergency Service: an urgent grant for organizing a demonstration on the eve of the 80^th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

About the group

The Palestinian cause is the intersection of common and key struggles for equality and security.

Academia for Palestine consists of students and scholars involved in activities for a free Palestine. They conduct meetings in the ethics committee of the Jagiellonian University and the weekly Circle of Postcolonial Thought, organize benefits, film screenings, fundraisers, protests, lectures and educational activities raising awareness and current knowledge about the genocide and the apartheid system in Palestine.

About the action

Despite the government’s critical violation of basic statutes, this is a unique opportunity to create a broad movement and oppose violations of international law.

Using the grant, the Academy for Palestine, together with several collectives, will organize a demonstration on January 26, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. In the light of the political escalation that has caused global outrage among artistic and intellectual circles, the group wants to additionally create a space for expressing an international voice of opposition to hosting people accused of war crimes and violating international conventions.
